I have a security concern related to the 

Gecko - for in.touch 3 module Smart Spa Living

application available for download on the apple store

Founded in 1989, the Gecko Alliance Group is a leading global designer and manufacturer of high-tech control systems, pumps, keypads, and accessories for the spa and hot tub industry. Headquartered in Quebec City, they supply major manufacturers worldwide.

Revenue Estimates: As of 2024–2025, estimated annual revenue for the company is $69.3M, with a revenue-per-employee ratio of about $269,500. 

Gecko Alliance Group changed ownership in July 2022, when a consortium led by NEXCAP Partners acquired a controlling interest in the Quebec-based spa equipment manufacturer. Key participants in this investment included Desjardins Capital, Fonds de solidarité FTQ, and Fondaction.

Original Founders: Co-founders Benoit Laflamme and Michel Authier remained as shareholders and continue to be involved in the company's strategic development.

Gecko does not sell products directly; however, the in.touch 3 is available through most spa and spa-parts retailers.


in.touch 3

Allows the spa tempature to be set to the right tempature for use and to heat the tub durning off peak electricy hours.  

This requires a in.touch RF hardware kit and an application downloaded from the internet.  in my case the Apple Store.

 The application allow to to remotely access your hot tub controls and schedule water heating during off peak hours.

The hardware product I ordered—the Gecko in touch 3 WIFI module for Y systems—was not the product that I received from Pool Store Canada.

in.touch 2 EN-V2

I received the in touch 2-Kit-GD-V2 hardware ver. 1.   The retailer maintained that the in.touch 2 V2 version WAS the in.touch 3.

Whatever it was, it did not work.

Gecko does not process returns, refunds, or reimbursements directly. As the product was purchased through a retailer, any request of this nature must be handled by them.

We kindly ask that you contact your dealer (Pool Store Canada) to initiate a return or refund request, in accordance with their policies and procedures. They will be able to review your case and advise on the next steps.

We looked at your customer's set up, their RF seems very low, and their CO and EN modules are not updating to the latest revision, which is why the Smart Routines are not available.

 

I'd recommend to start by trying to get the modules closer, or remove interferences so they can communicate and update. For instance, we know his EN module disconnected 44 times in the last 6 hours, so they are probably borderline in range or something's altering their communication.

I have just moved the home module 8 feet from the spa module.  There is NOTHING between the two modules.

I think we will need to have the IN.Tuch 3 units returned to us for warranty, there is something not right here.

Can you ship them back to us in their original boxes ...

Gecko does not cover the shipping costs under their warranty unfortunately. We highly recommend using an insured service with signature request, if lost or damaged in transit we will not be able to process the warranty claim for you. 

Once we have the units back here we can then perform a test and determine that fault, if the units are faulty then we will ship replacement for you on behalf of Gecko Canada.

Please not warranty claim are currently taking 10 days business days to process once we receive th items back. All warranty decisions are made by Gecko Canada.
